While dodging my rodent population reduction activities I managed to notice this male Northern Flicker chasing a Varied Thrush pair from a certain tree. No visible nests. Saw it happen three times in 20 minutes. Not sure why. The activity upset the Female Anna's Hummingbird.

We do not use poisons on our property. I have found that judicious use of the Victor Electronic Rat Trap to be a humane method of disposing of these pests. The issue I have is keeping them clean and baited. Population explosion of late. Neighbors leave garbage bags outside. We are surrounded by horse properties as well.

Z9, 600pF except for #1 the Mason Bee. Z8, Z 100-400.
