Trump's TikTok flip-flop

Trump once wanted to ban TikTok in the USA and drafted an Executive Order to ban it that was thrown out in court. The Executive Order stated that TikTok was a threat to “the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States.” But Trump has done a TikTok flip-flop because he now opposes Congressional attempts to ban it, saying “there are a lot of people on TikTok that love it” and "there are a lot of young kids on TikTok who will go crazy without it.”

Trump changed his position shortly after meeting with and apparently repairing his relationship with Republican megadonor Jeff Yass, who was a major critic of Trump's administration. Trump’s TikTok flip-flop came just one week after Yass invited Trump to attend a Club for Growth retreat. Former Trump senior adviser Kellyanne Conway is on the Club for Growth’s payroll as a TikTok lobbyist.

Who is Yass? He co-founded the Philadelphia-based trading firm Susquehanna International Group, which now owns a 15% stake in TikTok’s China-based parent company, ByteDance. Yass’ personal share in TikTok is 7%, worth roughly $21 billion. During the 2022 midterm e******ns, Yass donated $47 million to help Republican candidates, making him the third-largest conservative political donor in America.

Trump likely sees two benefits in now opposing a ban on TikTok. First, he may be doing so to appeal to Vass, a major donor, at a time when his campaign is strapped for cash and he faces significant financial liability as a result of litigation. Second, he may be trying to appeal to young v**ers who use TikTok, contrasting himself with Biden, who supports a TikTok ban.

And as for the threat that Trump once thought TikTOk posed to "the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States," as described in Trump's failed Executive Order? Well, keep moving, nothing to see here...

Trump didn't flip-flop in respect to TikTok, he apparently flipped on it for political reasons. There's really nothing wrong with changing your mind about something. That's much different than Joe Biden wanting to band tiktok yet he uses it for his campaign at the same time. Changing your mind is not bad, Biden's hypocrisy is. So why aren't you talking about Joe biden's hypocrisy on this issue?

Changing the topic once again, are we? The problem is why Trump changed his mind--to get $$$. Trump's political positions are for sale. It's akin to bribery. You remember about bribery, right> It's what Trump tried to do to President Zelinsky when Trump was President...

Changing the topic? Isn't the topic about TikTok? Lol you're spreading lies and misinformation about bribery again. How is it bribery to support keeping TikTok from being banned? Your other plain lie with that Trump was trying to bribe president zelensky. That has been debunked long ago. So why you being such a hypocrite? You're lying about Trump flip-flopping he didn't flip flop he just flipped which is nothing wrong with changing your mind about something everybody does it. Why are you deflecting from your hypocrisy about Joe Biden wanting to ban tiktok yet he uses it for his campaign? That's the real issue

In an attempt to determine the facts, I read several sources before I posted this and it is a synthesis of what I read. I know that is an alien concept to you. You like to find some extreme YouTube video which you spread as though its the gospel t***h, and when someone asks you for the facts to back up the video you then say it's up to them to disprove it.

Really? What was the context? You mean when Trump said to "fire the prosecutor or you will not get the $1 billion dollars?" OH wait, that was Pedo Biden.

I'm not wasting my time giving you sources that are spread all over the internet that you won't read anyway. But if you are serious in learning about this, just do a search for "Trump flip flop on TikTok" and you will find dozens and dozens of articles supporting what I wrote.

By the way, Trump on FOX news tried to explain his flip flop by essentially saying he didn't really care about the issue when he signed the Executive Order, but now he has realized that if TikTok is banned then everyone will go to Facebook, which he said is worse than TikTok and is itself "controlled by China." In actuality, Facebook is not controlled by China and is banned in China.

See you’re repeating that same lie that Trump flip-flopped on the TikTok issue which he did not, he just flipped. But you’re still avoiding the fact that Biden himself was said he will sign the bill to band TikTok yet he use it for Campaign. What’s wrong with Trump changing his mind compared to Joe Biden who is a hypocrite?

Trump didn't "change" his mind. He sold his mind. Trump is a prostitute, selling his political position to the highest bidder. He takes after Stormy Daniels. I know you would like to forget about her, but Trump c***ted on his then pregnant wife with Stormy, and then paid Stormy off to keep her mouth shut during the e******n.
