I read the other day that the entire nation is having an early spring this year; about a month early. That certainly is true where I live in Maine. The snow is gone already and I've seen ducks in the ponds near my home, events that I would expect no earlier than mid April.
If ducks are migrating, I wondered whether there might be other species on the move so this morning I visited a couple of nearby water destinations. I did see another duck, but the only other birds were red-winged blackbirds.
Some time ago I posted pictures of a farm scene with
white horses and this morning I stopped there again. More horses were out, no doubt attracted by the warmer weather.
