America used to plan its future and pick its leaders based on success, opportunity and economics but now it is based on identity , culture and tribalism. While this started during Obama times, trump made acceptable to openly embrace those aspects .

My point is that due to the many possibilities of various sources, that is precisely why the American public deserves to know what the source is.
Some may be prone to identifying the money as a "campaign contribution" disguised as a de facto loan.
