This is my first attempt at creating a digital watercolor landscape using a graphic display tablet. Practice, practice, practice is what it will take for I have a long way yet to go.

I have taken art classes and found quickly that doing watercolor paintings is very difficult ... well, at least for me it was. With digital you can control the opacity and if there is a goof, then easy return button... with real watercolor no forgiveness.

Art has been pretty much my bread and butter and my whole life. Done all sorts of painting and I find watercolor to be the hardest thing to do. You can scrap an oil painting and start all over again, even weeks into it. An acrylic painting can be sanded down and painted over. When watercolor seeps into the paper, that's done. Paint over and it will just muddy up. As you said "no forgiveness".
