Agreed. Kate had no obligation to release that photo, adjusted or not and the media has no right to criticize her for allowing it to be published. An unaltered photo by paparazzi's of her and the children would have been bought for a large sum of money and would not have been criticized for out of focus or even blurry subjects due to camera movement. Yet, she voluntarily provides a nice photo of her and her children, the media goes crazy over some minor adjustments.

The media needs to get an update on reality.

So the news media should lower their standards on how much photo manipulation is allowed? They aren't criticizing Kate, they are just following existing standards which she probably wasn't aware of. We know some adjustments were detected, but there could have been more done that wasn't detected.
