If your home or office overlooks the Hudson, this is what you would have seen if you looked out the window last Wednesday.
Here is a British Airways Concorde being returned by barge to its home at the Intrepid museum after a refurbishment.

That is one beautiful aircraft. Too bad about the design flaws
It used to fly over my home on Long Island every morning en route to JFK. It was a beautiful sight.

What is the design flaws? There were only 3 accidents involved the Concorde. The first 2 there were some structure damage at supersonic speed but the planes landed normally without the crew even notice a problem with handling.
The third which total the plane and killed all people on board plus 4 on the ground was casued by a metal strip falling of a Continental DC-10 took of a few minutes before the Concorde.
I do not hear anything about the flaws.

I agree! The only flaws were the sonic booms, meaning it wasn't allowed to go supersonic over land, and the amount of fuel it used...
And it was a great flight! Three and a half hours from Paris to JFK, not even time to show a movie so they fed us a huge lunch. The cockpit door was open the whole flight (1982) and I was allowed to visit the cockpit. The ceiling was low, though, and the bathroom was tiny. Because of the altitude at which it flew the windows were also small. It was fun to watch the "Machmeter" as it climbed but there was no jiggle or other indication as we broke Mach 1. The takeoff angle and landing approach angle were both very sharp, which was fun. When we landed at JFK the plane was not allowed to approach the terminal because of noise so we were bussed to the terminal. The baggage was already off the carousel and customs was a breeze. If we didn't account for the time change we landed in New York while we were still walking along the Seine. A great experience but rather pricey!

I thought the SST was discontinued because of economic considerations...!?

I don't know about any design flaws. It was very VERY expensive to fly and maintain so I think it was on its way out already when the accident in Paris happened which, as noted above, was not the fault of the Concorde. A magnificent piece of engineering, though.

I could be wrong but as I remember what put the Concorde down was it ingested parts of several of its tires. The design flaw was placing the engine intakes behind the landing gear.

Nope it did not ingest anything. A metal strip from the cowling of the DC-10 fell on the run way. It puncture the tire and part of the tire hit the underside of the plane and cause the fuel tank to leak and caught fire.
When did they move the Brooklyn Bridge from the East river?
