This one I caught in the SGV Tribune the other day and called the Editorial Room and asked who wrote this. It took two or three readings before the editor realized that what he was reading was impossible!!! correction the next day.

I've worked for newspapers for over 50 years, and it just keeps getting worse.....cut costs no matter what....embarrasing!~!!!

Usually, they recheck their headline or written statement after it appears on Jay Leno's comedy routine. Then they feel really embarrassed that they missed the error before publishing. In this era of automated "SPELLCHECK" and "GRAMMAR CHECK" software, the programs don't know when there are mistakes that make headlines sound obsurd.

And most of the people that read the proof of their liquors, don't know how to convert that number to % alchohol either. Or maybe they just don't care. For some, MORE IS BETTER, but wait till they try one with over 190 PROOF. It will take your breath away for sure.
