I do too! Loved a trip we had to the SW a few years ago. Funny but one of my favorites was Death Valley. So beautiful in its bleakness!

Yeah, Doc. I've been to Death Valley several times. A place like no other! Unless you want to leave the U.S.!

Strange, beautiful, probably not "confortable" landscape to spend a night sleeping "under the sky".
But those images are stimulating to camp here!
Have those photos been shot from a "bad/rough" car track...or from a dusty hiker lane?

We went back on a warmer day.
It seems strange to be looking for a warmer day in Tucson!
Some old timers in #3!
I hope you like!

Nice photos,
I live close to Saguaro NP East. Always enjoy the drive and photos there

I like them all Chief particularly #1 and 2. This is the only branch of Saguaro Nat Park that I've been to. Didn't realize that Saguaros only grow at certain altitudes which are pretty much bracketed in this park. I looked at #2 and I think that's Kitt Peak Mt in the background. The Kitt Peak National Observatory is on top with lots of telescopes. If you've not been there, it's about an hour drive west of the park and it's a great place to visit and photo opportunities abound. It's also a fun drive up to the top (6880 ft). They have tours of all the telescopes at the top that can be arranged on their website.

From a gravel road for the most part, Dan' de. But for #2, I did hike a bit to get the perspective that I wanted. Not a trail, just squeezing through the cacti to avoid the spines!

Thanks, Reuss. Yes, that is Kitt Peak. We have been there. I've always been interested in observatories and those big telescopes...Yeah, I'm a geek!
The East Side Park is quite a bit smaller. There is just one loop road, but it's pretty dramatic with the mountains to the east and a couple park and walk opportunities.
