In 1975, President Ford was left to manage the difficult ending of the Vietnam War. President Ford went to Congress for a relief package to allow American personnel and our allies to evacuate.

However, there was ONE US SENATOR who opposed any such support. The result was the embarrassing and hurried evacuation from the roof of the American embassy in Saigon

This senator reveled in the embarrassment and did everything he could to leverage it politically against Ford. Despite the efforts of this U.S. Senator--President Ford managed to rescue 1,500 South Vietnamese allies prior to the country's fall. Had President Ford not acted quickly, these people would have been targeted and slaughtered for their support for America . When they arrived in America , President Ford asked Congress for a package to assist these refugees to integrate into American society.

That SAME troublesome SENATOR TORPEDOED ANY SUPPORT for these shell shocked, anti-c*******t, Americans and our helpers, the refugees.

Instead, President Ford had to recruit Christian organizations to offer assistance on a voluntary basis. As he did so, the Senator belittled those efforts. What kind of person would oppose President Ford's tireless work to do the right and humanitarian thing? Who would want to play politics with the well-being of innocent people who stood by America in the tragic Vietnam War?

THAT SENATOR WAS JOE BIDEN

Are you referring to the horrible monster who thinks a v**er should provide valid identification and proof of citizenship to v**e, or the clown who says "Welcome to America, come on in and v**e and get a free cuppa coffee for your valiant efforts and loads of other freebies."?

Politics make many act like little boys.

To argue over the negative actions in some effort to make either of these characters appear better than the other is a fools journey. The tie breaker might well be decided by which one tried to o*******w our system.

No surprise. Biden has enough baggage that the Maga cult doesn’t need to make thing up out of thin air. They lose credibility by doing that

You didn't get it Dave. Biden's politics have historically drifted with the wind. The lastest has been his stance with Israel and Hamas If it suits his purpose, he'll switch. He has no crust.

BTW...why is he calling for a cease fire rather than surrender?

He is most definitely drifty. However, I would like to see the "drifty" records of all Congressman since 1975. Lol!

Btw, you'd have to check with him or someone on his team regarding his policies. I'm smart enough to know that I do not possess the experience or knowledge needed to make such a decision. I do know that that he can call for wh**ever he wants, but ultimately he has no say. I also know that many of the forum respondents fancy themselves experts on foreign policy as well as the economy. My biggest beef is his handling of immigration for our southern border.
