Was also my experience with an Alfa Remo Alfetta
The good news at the time they cost far less to buy but about as much to continually fix as a Jag

yes that is true as I have owned 2 Jag's in the past a 1957 XK-140 roadster and a 1987 Vanden ples 3 and both had their problems but there were more problems with the 1987..

AHEM. My XKE was tons more reliable than the Volvo 142 I had the displeasure of owning.
