Streamside studies

Yep, another one of my canyons, but on this hike I was more interested in trees and their roots than general scenery, plus they lend themselves so well to B/W conversion. I like the way the roots mingle with rocks. This stream has seen a lot of violent flooding over the past decade (following an extensive wildfire) so the trees alongside it have taken a beating. It gives them more character.

Thanks for looking Dodie. There really was very little color out there (plus some of those trees are dead), so B/W had far more impact. I had fun with them.

Thanks. There are a lot of interesting details in these canyons if one takes the time to look for them.
