Many Glacier Lake

Okay, this is not a new post, it's an addition to a previous post but I'm not familiar with how to add to my original so the administrator can move it if I'm out of line.

I'm looking for lodging close to Many Glacier Lake that is pet friendly. My wife and I have secured lodging for our seven day vacation in Whitefish; however, we would like to take the Many Glacier Lake boat tour which is about a 5 hour round trip drive from our permanent lodging in Whitefish which would mean leaving our pup all day. We want to find pet friendly lodging for a couple of days close to the Lake. After the Lake tour, we would drive to our permanent lodging for the remainder of our visit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Glacier is an area of Glacier NP, not a lake. Are you referring to Swiftcurrent Lake near Many Glacier lodge? That is like the top attraction area and most scenic spot in Glacier. Lodging, including campgrounds, KOA, etc. are usually fully booked a year in advance, so your chances are slim for 2024.

Okay, I'm not sure but it is the lake near Many Glacier lodge. My son and daughter-in-law stayed there a couple of years ago but they didn't need a pet friendly place to stay. We already have a home reserved in Whitefish but we wanted to try and get a boat tour of the lake near Glacier Lodge but it's five hours round trip from Whitefish and we can't leave our pup for eight hours so we thought we might try to get lodging for a couple of nights nearer the lake just for the boat tour and then head over to Whitefish for the remainder of our vacation. We have been looking but haven't found anything yet. If this doesn't happen it won't ruin the trip at all, it's just something that would be nice to be able to tour the lake. Right now, we are just trying to get a schedule of things to do and my Hedgehog family has really come through. We will spend seven days in Glacier and eight days or so in our most favorite place, Jackson, Wyoming.

Is there a kennel in Whitefish that will board your dog for the day? Probably cheaper than renting another place.

Well, we don't give her any vaccines and kennels require at least the bordatella vaccine.

Listen, your idea was great and if we were people who believed and trusted the vaccine industry and our pup could be kenneled, you bet that would have been a great idea and one to definitely consider.
