I just received a bill from Disney + for 20 + dollars. When I signed up for the Hulu package that included Hulu, Disney +, and ESPN +, it was around 11 dollars. I expected an increase but not almost double. When I examined the bill, it showed four charges, not three. When I drilled down to see what I was being charged for it showed one service at x dollars, another at x dollars, a third at x dollars, and the fourth was a charge for Disney add free. Since I first signed up for the service I have never watched anything on Disney, only on Hulu and ESPN. I don't need the add-free Disney since I haven't used that part of the service. I never asked for it to be ad-free but they just automatically added it. That is pretty sneaky. I will be sending them a nasty-gram and tell them to refund anything I paid for their ad-free service.

I'm afraid that's our future - paying more for less.

The ice cream I buy comes in three-pint packages, rather than the half gallons I used to buy. That's not enough ice cream!

While I anticipate and accept nominal increases over time, the Hulu/Disney/ESPN package has increased by 50% in the last year. Even with the increase, it wasn't good enough for them and they just arbitrarily added a service I did not request. This is unacceptable and I just sent them a note telling them so.

Everyone today is doing that.
Verizon signed me up for phone insurance that I never asked for.

That is simply unacceptable. Unfortunately, the solution might be worse like cutting off your nose to spite your face.
If there is a competing service in your area, it might be more expensive to switch, and in some cases that is the only service in your area, so you're stuck.

Yes, Mike, I quit Disney for the same reasons, but they didn't make it easy, luckily I was paying them with paypal and I canceled the payments on my paypal account, that stopped them.

Technically, they are correct. It says 'Ad Free' & they did not charge you to add it to your bill !!

We just quit Spectrum for the same kinda krapola.
Instead of the original bill of a bundle plus surcharges, we got a long invoice for $70 more.
When I questioned them it was for "efficiency".
And taking off their added streamers could actually raise the bill!
We're much happier with T-Mobile.

In this day and age, these companies have got you by the "gonads." You either pay or else! This is a "legal" type of the old "protection" game, that the gangsters of the 20's foisted upon store owners. "You pay us to protect you from us!" Now you pay for things you don't want in the first place, or you get the brown end of the proverbial stick. And, if you don't like being shafted, it doesn't matter to them! There are so many more sheep to slaughter...This is like David going up against an army of Goliath's!!!!! YOU CAN'T WIN....

But wait! There is one way to win.....IF NO ONE, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE SIGNS UP FOR THESE SERVICES IN THE FIRST PLACE. Isn't that a novel idea that can't work!!!

Inflation is caused by greedflation and shrinkflation. Just because we can and we don't think you'll notice. I know people who have there bills charged to their credit card or bank account and never check their statements.

Go to your Amazon Accounts on the AZ web page. Then go to subscriptions. You should be able to modify or delete accounts.

As Bridges said above, "...cutting off your nose..."

No one would have a monthly bill if no one had services.

As they say “These are the days of shrinkflation”
Shrink the size of the content and packaging but add more to the price.

And we all lived happily ever after.

A man on YouTube spent a day at a Disney park to see what it would cost - I think it was two days. He, his wife, and one or two kids stayed at the park and did the usual things. The total bill came to about $850. I bet there are some families that couldn't afford that much for two days at an amusement park. Of course, the family would have to fly or drive there, too.
