I was standing in the water up to my chest one summer day at the little lake by my Indiana place.
Something caught my eye, and I looked up to see one of these guys majestically soaring overhead.
He suddenly paused then let himself basically fall fifty feet down into the water.
You could hear the impact around the whole place!
Made me wonder like crazy about their bone structures - especially that of the skull

Thank you so much Joe you are always so kind, Aren't Osprey's awesome birds, I love watching them. We have pair that are rebuilding their nest (Old one blew down in a really bad storm. ) They are such a devoted pair, He brings back material, then they both work with it, then off one goes again.
