Why don’t you list your qualifications and achievements in the field of photography so people can made an informed decision as to the validity of your comments.

1• Becuz I dont need to.
2• Becuz I dont owe you that.
3• Becuz the Hawgsters who do so come across as grossly pretencious.

If you reject my posted solutions, advices, remarks etc cuz you cant recognize value unless its rubber stamped by "authorities", then thaz your loss. Im not your messiah.

Fairly often I will PM a solution to an OP thereby skirting the clown car. That also means I dont bother to demonstrate my accumen to the great unwashed en mass ... again cuz I dont need to. Maybe such an attitude is arrogant. So be it. That is all.

You lost me here. At the same ISO and shutter speed, f/2.8 is f/2.8 on any camera, and f/4 is f/4 on any camera. DOF will certainly vary between formats, but unless I misread you, you were referring to exposure. the "exposure triangle" is format independent, which is why it is so useful.

Exactly. Any difference in exposure is probably due to differences in the meter mode and how the individual manufacturers handle metering. It’s not the lens.

There's some room for improvement there, but not a lot. Ibis could help, for sure, but mostly I think you will improve with just getting out there and taking pictures.

Thank you Moonhawk for the input. That is pretty much my feeling at this point. I will try and rent one first but, like you, IBIS would be an improvement as my lenses are heavier and my hands are starting to shake. Time will tell.
Everyone had some great ideas and I appreciate each one.
