Old Car Photo Scan

Recently 2 postings caught my attention, one was scanning old photo's with a dedicated scanner versus a 3 in 1 type printer. The other was taking car picture's at car shows and showing the full car or just parts of it, one problem being full cars generally get too much extra stuff, like people, other cars and what not.

I've always enjoyed car shows and fooling around with the pictures, changing backgrounds and whatnot. Recently scanned an old photo on my printer from one of my deceased brothers collection of old photo's. It was a typical car show photo with other cars & stuff "cluttering" up the photo. I couldn't help myself so I cut out the car and combined one of my old jpgs into one. Thought I'd post it here for your consideration.

BTW, the printer scan looked about exactly as the photo. I don't think a dedicated scanner would have made a difference. The photo was at least 20 years old.

Nicely done. I didn't pick up on the composite until I read the intro

Thanks Mike. I was not going to keep the photo at all but then I somehow pictured what sort of edit I wanted to try on it.
Turned out OK and wasn't too much work. After going through a few hundred of my brothers old photo's, most of which had little or no meaning to me, I realized many of my pics would be meaningless to their heirs. There were tons of landscapes and people that I didn't know where or who they were, so they got tossed. This pic for example I have no idea where when or anything about it, it's just an old car. Now that I replaced the background, it's become interesting at least to me, as a photo I at least partially created. At least my digital photo's all have metadata that gives lot's of info.

Thanks. One goal of editing is not making the edits too obvious so your comment is greatly appreciated.
