He said he fixed it. The lens cap string fell inside the battery compartment and when he released it he pulled battery out easily. The spring he found on floor was from something else.
I'll keep you handy for any repairs I might need in future

So the lesson here is...never leave a battery in your camera.
I take mine out every single night before the equipment goes back in the dry boxes.
You don't want a battery malfunctioning inside your camera while you sleep.
Batteries are 50 bucks...camera...more than 50 bucks.
