My Son in Law, a college professor, makes hotplate/trivets out off wine corks and Masonite. Everyone who sees them wants them.
We were at an Italian restaurant and they had a map of Italy on a counter that was filled with resin.
Very creative uses for corks.

I watched that series and was hoping it would continue but it must have died after the one season.

Yes! The scene on the plane suggested that it might continue. I wouldn't mind looking at her for a few more hours.

Amazon sells wine corks for crafting, and most likely, corks for small scale wine makers, too. So, no real need to drink the wine to make a birdhouse.
