The original shot was taken a few years ago in Tombstone, AZ. I used Photoshop tools like Generative Fill, various brushes like Remove tool, Clone Stamp, Healing and Spot healing tools, curves, and filters like the Neural filters and Camera Raw filter, and luminance maps created in Channels to make it look more like it may have looked 150 years ago...
Wow, that looks like a lot of work! Were you already experienced with all the tools or learning/practicing with this photo?

I've used Photoshop for more than 30 years, so I guess I can say I'm experienced. I would never say "expert," because I am always finding new techniques and different ways to use old tools and of course, trying out the new ones.
This particular image is one I use for a note card, and I had done these changes a couple of years ago, before such things as Generative Fill and AI Remove tools. This is a new version (starting from scratch) using all the new features along with all the old ones. The improvements are very noticeable.
