Mojaveflyer Loc: Denver, CO

I had an early morning appointment this morning but it was late enough that I was able to run down to Denver to grab a shot of the Winter Park Express train as it departs Denver for the ski slopes at Winter Park.

Photo #1- The Winter Park Express accelerates through C&S Junction on it's way to the Winter Park Ski area. The track at the bottom of the photo is the BNSF (C&S) Golden Branch.

Photo #2- The going away shot shows the mountains the train will be climbing in 20 minutes or so.

The Winter Park Express (formerly known as the Ski Train) runs from January to March so people don't have to fight traffic or weather getting to the slopes.
