(Mini) Snow Moon

Shot the full moon in two sessions. Once at midnight and again at 7:30am.

The midnight pix with a Sony A7R V and Sony FE 200-600 lens. The morning shot with a Sony RX10 IV.

It didn't really look all that 'mini'.

Enjoy!

I like your Moon captures. Great job. Now why is this Moon called "mini"? --Ricchard

Farther away from Earth when full this time, i.e.: a touch smaller looking.

Thanks. I just had not heard that referred to as a "mini" M9oon. One of the labs I liked to use with my Intro to Astronomy students was a serries ot Moon photographs taken during one trip in the Moon's orbit around the Earth. In a glance the sizes of the Moon looked all the same until one measured the diameter of the M9oon in each photo. From this data one could plot the elliptical shape of the orbit of the Moon around the Earth. A neat exercise. --Richard
