The picture of the Dr Pepper sign is from 2013, probably painted on the building in the 1920's. It was revealed after demolition of the building attached to it. The shot of the heavy duty Ford truck, which I believe is an early 30's model, is from a 2020 Branson trip. Thought I'd share.

Nicely done. You might want to crop away the modern car in the lower left

Interesting, Unca B. I'm curious about your color choices. I see a nice hint of the Dr. Pepper maroon color in the sign, some metallic blueish in the right headlight, and just a hint of yellow in the clouds. I assume those bricks still have some color, as does the sky. How did you decide which colors to include and which to leave out?

How do you insulate your camera when taking it thu a time warp? You did not mention you had collaborated with a great-grandchild of HG Wells. Surprisingly the machine works after all these years. Too bad the 1931 Ford can not be transported.

Thank You Jack, I appreciate it !! Initially I was going to call this, They don't make 'em like they used to, then I changed and used the DR Pepper wall instead. I removed a microwave tower visible over the building but left the car and changed the title. Thanks Again !!

Thank You and thank you for asking. I wanted to have some of the Dr Pepper color so as one of the final steps, I put the color layer above the layer stack added a mask and brushed some of the color back in, if I recall correctly at 25 % opacity. I used a brush to add light to the headlights, blurred that and adjusted the opacity. The right headlight in the original picture had yellowed somewhat so I set the opacity on that one a little higher. Usually the last thing I do in a composite to help unify the parts is to use a gradient map. In this case a very light blue to a very light yellow shadows to highlights. Thanks Again !!!

Thank You Don, I wasn't sure which year the truck was, and yes, I'd love to have it in the garage !!

Oh I really like this! I saw on another post where the writer noted it would look better if it were closer cropped on the left side. I agree! I like the oldness of the shot! Very good work!

Nicely done. Two things, as Jack mentioned about the car, I would take it out. For me it doesn’t fit the 1920’s 30’s theme. And the second the license plate. I see the image is for sale. I am not sure about the license plate showing ownership and therefore not in the public domain. This may cause some kind of legal issue. But than again I am not an attorney.

The truck is on exhibit at the Farm and Auto Museum. All of their vehicles are for sale, and all photos were taken with permission.
