"Poison sumac" is in the genus
Toxicodendron, along with poison ivy and poison oak. I have been very fortunate that I have never had a reaction from those plants. I have seen some people really suffer.
Staghorn sumac is in the genus
Rhus, along with Shining sumac, Aromatic sumac, Smooth sumac in the eastern US.
They are all in the same family - Anacardiaceae - which is predominantly a tropical family, and it includes edible plants such as mango, cashew, and pistachio.
I'm starting to itch just looking at these images. It's beautiful, though.

But the trees are pithy inside I have had to remove three of them in my life !!! big ones min. 36" dia., It is all but impossible to accurately direct the fall of the tree!!
