Is that only for people who borrowed $12,000 or less and have made payments for ten years? I’m not a money person but it doesn’t sound like much is being forgiven? So how does that free up a house payment?

OMG!!! How can this be possible? Didn't the Supreme Court say these student loans could not be forgiven? Someone mentioned a "House Payment" in this thread. So, when you buy a house, get a mortgage, and default on your loan payments, the bank will foreclose, and you lose the house. Perhaps when a young man or woman gets a student loan, completes the college education, and doesn't pay back the student loan, we should remove that education with a lobotomy.
