Sylvias Loc: North Yorkshire England

We had a trip out to Muzzenberg a seaside resort not far from Cape Town, South Africa. A couple of fun shots I couldn’t resist taking. This is a Volkswagen Beetle car, the guy said it was dated 1976 and the clock had gone round that many times he had no idea of the mileage.

He was out to enjoy some surfing.

Thought we might be in for rain with the dark clouds, but look behind blue skies.

Yep, that is a well traveled VW Bug Sylvia. My brother owned one when he was in college 50+ years ago. Note the sealant around read windshield. Couple of good images.

Cool shots, Sylvia! I owned one on Guam when I was in the Navy. Not quite as flamboyant as yours. And probably had a bit more rust, but it got me where I needed to go. It had a big hole in the floorboard, so I could pick up fallen coconuts alongside the road without opening the door!
