camera problems after taking it in for cleaning

Took my 7d in for a cleaning and used it for the first time after a getting it back. Took my basketball pictures and stop for a few minutes, threw the camera up for a shot and nothing. Pushed the shutter button and nothing. Turned the camera off and the setting screen was on and the camera was off! turned it on and off again, still nothing. dropped the card out and battery, reset the card and battery and it worked. Happened twice more doing the game and had to do the same thing over again. Will be taking it back to the camera shop today. Any ideas what is going on?

take it back to the guy who cleaned it and ask him why he broke your camera.

Sounds to me like the camera shop you took the 7D to didnt know what they were doing. Is this camera store a recognized Canon repair shop?

Well, my 7d is still in the shop and Canon said it is fixable for $200. What that is broken wasn't on the slip but I miss my 7d so I authorized the repair. An in depth explanation of what was wrong will be forthcoming and Lens Giant came to the rescue for the weekend. My 50d is acting up and I have two paid photo shoots this weekend and can't cancel! So I called them on friday and for $80, I get a 7d for a week. Will pick it up on Saturday morning!
