A Truly Important Ferrari

This car represents a historic milestone in Ferrari's ascent to the top level of sports car racing. It is a 1949 166 MM Touring Barchetta. This one is the second one made out of 24 produced. These cars were the first ones made By Ferrari after he opened shop under his own name. Ferrari's don't come with a more authentic pedigree than this one.

It was raced, successfully, from 1949 to 1957 in important races such as the Mille Miglia. It was in the famous Harrah's collection from 1967 until it closed. Since then it has been in a private collection in the north east U.S.

I first posted some shots of this car a couple of years ago. I was happy to see it again and get these shots.
