Love your Street Car Named Desire Image. Tennessee Williams plays are one of my favorites from my theater days at Michigan State.

Motown~man? Eh? wot? Back in the Pleistocene, I was a (born & breaded) Mo-Town kid (west side [in the Greenfield ~ Grand River Ave area]), essentially, with some western subbberbbbs (Livonia, Garden City) tossed in, too, before I became acquainted with Uncle Sam and his Air Fierce in the middle '60's. But not withstanding that....

The 'original' of this was shot was shot specifically for a stage production of Williams' play that was performed by a community theatre I'd been involved with in New Britain, Connecticut in the '70's and '80's. A 'straight' 8"x10" b&w print --that I'd printed, mounted, matted & framed (on my own dime, I might add)-- was hung in the theatre's lobby alongside similarly mounted, matted & framed prints of the cast --specifically shot on the set and with the actors lit and 'in character' so to speak-- that theatre-goers could view pre- or post-performance. Lobby shots had never been done (there, at the 'Hole In The Wall Theatre') before that time, so while lobby shots were nothing new in 'theatre' per se, it was something 'new' for that particular rather well-regarded at the time community theatre. Me, before long thereafter, I'd been stolen away for a paying equity gig doing set design for the Hartford Stage Company.

That was then/this is now. The original was shot in b&w on 4"x5". I'd scanned the neg 20-odd years ago, but over recent days I'd been thinking of doing some Pep Ventosa-inspired multi-layered manipulations to some of my old images, and that's what I did today.

Appreciate your having commented, next-door neighbor. (Utah does border on Michigan, doesn't it?)

Wow! Thanks for your theater artistry run down and getting that gig with the prestigious Hartford Conservatory Theatre. Well when I graduated in Theatre Arts at MSU, I went to Los Angeles and started working for Motown Records as a choreographer for some groups like The Originals, The Sisters Love and some other groups and finally became office manager for Motown Productions, we did of course Lady Sings the Blues, The Wiz and The Last Dragon and Lonesome Dove. I worked on Motown25 and Motown Returns to The Apollo TV Specials. I am retired and live on the campus of Portland State University. I enjoy perusing this forum for some awesome and amazing photography and yours are very inspiring and interesting. I am not a professional, just an IPhone Image novelist. Hope to stay in your ever expanding fan club.

O Mi Freakin' HECK, motownman! Orrr-e-Gone? After what sounds like a multi-year stint wiff and around Motown Productions? That had to have been a mind-bogglingly, culture-shockingly upgrade!!!1! Your list of 'credits' (though probably foreshortened) is.... enviable!

Started off for Warshingtoon & the Oregon coast a few years back, but didn't manage to get past Yellowstone or Montana or even the eastern edge of I-duh-hoe. I suppose that's because --like you-- I'm not a 'perfesshionable' (technically speaking) either. Either that or something else, but I don't know which.

As I’ve gotten older and my vision worsens, everything looks like it does in your photo. I had no idea you intentionally made it that way.
