Walking around with the Lady of my life and I find the guy with just one leg and a cane walks faster than me. This just is not acceptable.

You need to get the one-legged guy a rubber crutch.

Can you pick up the pace a little or do you have an ambulatory issue?

Don't worry about the pace. You are out there walking and that's the important thing.

Women get men to go ot walking in a public venue so there is a reduced chance of a fight. Watch your '6' boys! LOL!!!

I suffered with that for over 10 years, to the point that I could hardly walk. I didn't trust my legs.
I just had the surgery that eliminated it completely.
Yes, there is a cure so you don't have to suffer any longer.
Talk to a good orthopedic surgeon that specialized in lower spine issues.
This procedure is called a Lumbar Laminectomy.

Good Luck!

A sign at the public/high school pool we go to says: "No matter how slow you go, you are faster than the guy sitting on his couch."

I've felt your pain. I had major sciatic pain on and off for many years until successful back surgery two years ago. Not a hint today!

BUT...you're standin'!! In the last year five of my fb friends have bit the dust. Another's wife. Two were by accidents. The 70's is a difficult decade. I'll be glad when I get through it to safer ground!!

I don’t get into scuffles anymore. I have been working on my anger issues.

Surgery doesn’t always work. My friend Russ had that surgery and he says he still has pain and neuropathy.

I get out every day and use my legs. It doesn’t get any better, but I’m still moving.

Nerve pain seems to be a normal for a lot of older people. My mother had back problems too. All of the cushions between the bones in her spine were either damaged or missing by the time she was 85.

I came too close to the Reaper in 2016. Perforated Duodenal ulcer almost got me. Lucky for me my surgeon was the best of the best at what he does. I did not get to have food or water for 4 months. Lived by IV and carried around 10 internal drains till things healed up.
I’m still on this side of the grass.
