Hello Hedghogers,
Can you offer a setup or app that will allow my IPad to be used as a light table to inspect negatives with a loupe?
I have found apps that appear to want you to sign away your privacy and agree to be bombarded with adds, so I am not willing to accept their terms.
Thanking you in advance for your reply.
Thanks Gary,
I did see this one. Do you have any experience with the app?
Thanks, Dave
I just use the notes app ( built in) and fon’t type anything.
Thanks, that would work.
The issue I see is when viewing the negatives i see the pixels of the screen.

Make a platform from a piece of glass. Place it an inch or two above the iPad. Small scraps of 2x4 lumber, supporting the corners of a glass from an 8x10 picture frame should work. You could probably leave the glass in the frame.
When you put your negs on that you should be able to see them clearly through a magnifier or loupe, but the light source pixels will be conveniently blurred due to the distance. If necessary, increase the distance between the light source and the glass.
Thank all of the Hoggers for their advice. I may build a light table using LED dimmable light strips and frosted glass.
