Is there a way to edit this list? When I use Windows 10 File Explorer to add tags to pictures using the Detail Tab, I get a list of previous used tabs. Some are typos or ones I don't need. I'd like to clean up this list, if possible.

If you're referring to the "suggestions" Windows makes for the tag field, I've not found a way to edit those yet..... Still researching. I just got another idea to try. I'll let you know.
BUT, I did find that if you have a bunch of pictures that have an empty tag field, and you want to enter the same tag information for all of them, highlight the ones you want to do that to, right click on one of the highlighted files and select details, enter the tag information, click okay, and all of the highlighted files will have the same tag information set. Now I have to experiment with doing that only "adding" a tag to multiple files to see if all selected will have the new tag added, or if all of them will only contain the new tag (replacing the ol tag info).
My mistake... The list is there, suggestions don't appear until one starts typing.
I tried all combinations of click-hold delete on line items, nothing.
Yes, it's annoying...
Just as annoying is the fact that "Windows gurus" answering the question at Windows forums don't understand the question at all (different country?). They keep explaining how to edit the tags themselves, NOT the suggestion list.....
FYI - Regarding the shotgunning (changing the tags in multiple selected files)-
If you select a bunch of files and they have different tag entries (it will let you know), and you add another tag entry to one, it is ADDED (appended) to all selected files. It does NOT overwrite (replace) the existing different tags. The existing tag information remains.
Excellent.
Still searching for editing the suggestions list.....

Thanks. I’ve done some searching on the internet and found nothing, just posts about how to edit tags.

Yup, same here......
Obviously these astute people can't comprehend the question.
I tried looking for a "folder" for Explorer in hopes that I would find a .txt or .dat file that may contain the list, but nothing. It must be embedded IN the OS or hidden somehow. (I have Show Hidden Files turned on in Explorer.)

I tried doing a search on Registry Edit for one of my tag names but came up with nothing. I wouldn’t be surprised if the tags are in a hexadecimal file.

Yea... Someone recommended doing something with a xxxx.cpl file, it's in HEX.
It has to be there somewhere, albeit very well hidden.
I think there is no easy way.
I still can't believe those Windows Gurus can't understand the question......
