Of course, I am a bit of a chili head, just around the edges and in the middle. And at 78 I find I can't eat food as hot as in say my 30s & 40s, or even my 50s & 60s.
But back in my teens and 20s, well, my Step-mother was a confirmed Chili Head and at our favorite BBQ place they had 3 bottles of sauce labeled, Wimps, Regular and Heroes. We got into a contest, who could eat the hottest BBQ Pulled Pork on Toast sandwich. When it got to where we were using "Heroes" with the toast so soaked the sandwich was falling apart and we had to use a plate and fork to eat, she finally flew the white flag and told me I was the winner. Good thing, even I was ready to admit it was now just a bit HOT!!!

The one near us now seems to be okay but my husband won't go near it. The one where we lived in Florida was good for a cleanse every time.
