Do any of you Dronies utilize some type of body camera while flying your drone in case of some unfavorable interaction with an individual occurs? I am considering the purchase of one but not sure if it's worth it.

I don't worry about it. I always check with people if there are any where I fly. Sometimes, such as at parks, there are too many to ask but I've never had a problem. I try not to disturb them or fly towards or over them. Many are curious but so far I haven't met any rude or obnoxious ones. Maybe because I live in the South and most folks don't act like that down here. (Though some do.)

Be legal, but more important, be friendly. I've never had any confrontations yet have had many who were curious. Some of the kids are the most fun of all.

I have a DJI Action Camera with a chest mount that I sometimes use to record my flying. Guess it would be good when encountering a Karen. Didn't have it when I had my only Karen experience. Would have loved to post that one!

What was your Karen experience? How did it start? How did you resolve it?

I have in the past, but not for that reason. Just wanted to get some video of the takeoff and some hovering. Now that you mention it, might be something I should do for 'safety' reasons.
I use a chest/shoulder mount. Also made a mount at the base of a caps bill. Easier to move around.
Have a GoPro Hero 4 Black, but it does not have stabilization, so I now have a DJI Action Camera. 100% better.

My only Karen experience was in the Fall when the leaves were turning and I wanted to start at 150', fly toward a large lake and get some great video. When I was getting ready I made sure no one was around. Took off, and at 150' started the video. Was going great until I heard a car door slam behind me and a "Karen" yelling telling me I cant fly a drone here and take pictures of the children. I again looked around and no one was in sight but her. I asked if they were in the trees? She looked puzzled. I ask her where the children were. 'Well there could be some around'. Landed did all I could to keep from telling her she was interfering with the operation of an aircraft; which is a Federal Violation and I will call the Police and she would be arrested. Held my thoughts and left.

I have the bad luck to live next door to a real Karen B-t-ch, but I have a 1.6 acre yard to fly from. I never fly near her line and only when she is gone in town.
