Mile high senic hwy running from Tellico Plains,TN to Robbinsville, NC through the Cherokee Nat'l Forest. The Joyce Kilmer Nat'. Forest is here, the only virgin wilderness area east of the Mississippi. It is sooo beautiful!

By any chance do you have any shots of "The Tail of the Dragon" which is an 11 mile strip of road near Robbinsville with over 300 twists & turns? A motorcyclists Nirvana. See the site www.tailofthedragon.com/

Sorry, Tom, I don't. We did not do that highway. Maybe this spring, although doing it in a car may be counterproductive! We met several cyclists while on the skyway, both motor and pedal. Thanks for looking!

Yes, it was a great trip. Actually, I liked the Joyce Kilmer virgin forest the best. The trees are HUGE! Maybe not as large as the Sequoias, but when you understand that most of the eastern part of the continent was like this, it boggles the mind!

Thanks for the compliment!

Thanks! I enjoy it more than the Smokies because you can see the trees without a human getting in your view! It's just less crowded and that's what I like. Thanks for looking!
