Today isn't a good day. My 89 year old Uncle hovered around me at the stove while I was cooking him a steak with baked potato and corn niblets and gravy. Drove me nuts having him turn up and down the heat knobs.
Then, in my capacity as a volunteer with the United States Power Squadrons, involved with boating safety, I voluntarily take care of over 3,000 life jacket on accountability sheets. I get an email today from a District Commander wanting to know why his two late squadron reports are not showing up in the reports. I'm amazed and check the URL. Nope, they are updated and correct. I had to send him a note asking if he REFRESHES his web browser to get the newest information on a page visited.
Then, here in UHH, a member from BC up in Canada land has the nerve to admonish a couple of UHH members and calls a blatant nut in California a HERO and that we were being stupid not liking his modus of operation to sue the police department.
Then, to add insult to injury, IT'S SNOWING.
I think it's time for a drink.

Hi Sarge69: Indeed it is...lol.. I can sympathsize with you... For the last few years the wife and I have had our son living with us, he injured his back on the job and is now on Social security disability, he too has the habit of changing the settings on the stove while I'm cooking dinner. Add to that his son and his significant other and their one year old and their 4 month old have been staying with us for the past several months while they get on their feet money wise. Fortunately I have no one else to report to so I don't have that to deal with, and the weather has actually been pretty decent for this time of year. Any way I hear where you are coming from as far as your Uncle goes...
If this is November it's time for a drink!
Oh come on guys!!!! There is a family member here of the older generation (yes, even older than me) that I will gladly swap any of you for any one of yours. Anybody? I dare you!
I've never had a drink but I'm thinking about it if I have to keep her.

I can't believe (oh ok I can) there's no-one so untroubled they have never had a tipple, but if you are such a lovely person, can I just advise you are missing a great taste sensation, if it suits you.
There are some alcoholic drinks so good that I would take them even if they were not alcoholic, if you see what I mean. Most Malts, a few crafted Calvados, one or two Brandies, some others not to labour a point.
No matter, we're all different and we all wish each other great joy & health, happiness to everyone, and yes, I have had a glass or two of Glenfiddich!
I thought you where in Ft. Myers already...is it snowing there?

And I thought I had it bad. Sorry, I'd write more but I'm on my way to the Lilac City Bar and Grille to see if the beer is cold.
