'Tis the season for a limited colour palette, and you've caught it wonderfully. IMO #3 isn't suited to a wide format and I'd crop it to something narrower.

(Is that a wabi sabi tractor I see in #1 )?

Ahhh, glad I didn't have wabi sabi in mind too, as I was already overloaded with the sights and sensations for my current assignment

I'm pleased you enjoyed the photos. #3 is a scene I attempt to shoot every time I go on that particular road. I adore that ridgeline (it dominates any long view to the northeast from the Yakima Valley) and it feels odd to crop it, but the distance across an ugly field to that tree is really too far for this shot. Probably time to let it go.

Nice series Linda and I can see that you are using your tele more often for the compression effect.

First of all, these fit the theme beautifully. All of them are well done. I think the stop sign appeals most to me. I've been staring at them trying to figure out why. I think it has better balance. The last one also has good balance to my eyes, and I do like that tree.

Thanks so much for your comments, William. The lens I used is a 14-140 mm. But with my Olympus, the equivalent focal length in full frame is double that, so "tele" it becomes

I think you nailed the theme. My favorite is the first one. That pop of red does it for me. I realize your second shot also has red in it but doesn’t get my juices flowing as much as the first one.
