Can ANYONE tell me if the Tamron LD AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 LD AF Lens is compatable with a Canon Rebel T7? I can not find the information anywhere about it being compatable or not.
(sorry for the constant questions about lenses, I'm basically a newbie).

You didn't say if the lens is in Canon EF mount or not. There are different versions of the same lens.

Oh I’m sorry. It’s EF mount.

How about the Sigma 70-300mm Super Macro Lens - F/4-5.6 DL Super Macro? It is motorized and I’m not sure if this one will fit my Canon T7.
Pardon my ignorance

Third-party lenses are designed uniquely for each of the various lens mounts. That is, the same lens is just updated with the target camera mount to be used on each target body / mount. The technical specifications and / or full product name should include the intended lens mount, as in "for Canon EF".

As you consider third-party options you should be comparing those prices to a new or used version of the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM, the best of all possible options for your EOS T7.

Thanks. I’d love to buy straight Canon but my wallet (and my husband) says no no no.

Look used too, say at KEH or MPB. The Canon vII was / is a popular lens where finding a discounted used copy may not be hard.

I have always had good luck with Sigma and Tamron lenses, as long as they have the right mount.
