Harnessed Tiger Moth

This is a focused stacked face and dorsal view image of my preserved Harnessed Tiger Moth that I staged using a 5X magnification microscope objective as the optic for the camera.

I posted the face view in the Photo Gallery a few days ago and I reposted it for those who frequent the True Macro Gallery.

Great job. We see those guys here. Apparently they can use dandelions and clover as larval host plants. Your lawn probably supports them nicely.

Thanks, Mike. Our yard is "gently" maintained compared to those that are highly manicured. I enjoy it being more of a native grassland, although the Better Half holds the opinion that I am too lazy to keep it mowed.
