Can anyone I'd this lens? It's a 100mm f2.5 but has no manufacturer markings on it.
Well, the 11212 matches, but not the focal length or max fstop.
Looks like a mapping lens. Currently great as a doorstop. I suspect the big glass on the back is a format size expander. If so, its no longer really a 105/2.5.
Ah, that might be it! Fedex delivered it( apparently by mistake) to my son in law who never ordered it. I thank all who have responded!
Telops develops high-performance hyperspectral imaging systems and infrared cameras for defense, industrial & …etc.
https://www.telops.com/I remember the marking on the lens rim for my time in the military.
The manufacturers, names, classification, and model name or number are the mils. spec. identification numbers.
The lens is likely from an aerial reconissance and detection system possibly fr the Vietnam era.
I agree, probably Mapping or surveillance. In its day this was a costly special purpose lens
If it was a UV lens it would be even more expensive

Well, it was calibrated by the FBI

That looks more like PBI, likely initials of the person that calibrated it.

It was calibrated somewhere overseas. The "Due date" 13-11-24 is a day-month-year format. We USAers write month-day-year and since there is no month 13 it's from somewhere overseas. Unless some furriner in the States did it.
Military (Army for sure) uses day/month/year format.

When I was in the Navy(50+ yrs ago) the date was displayed as 2Feb2024. I don't know if it's still done that way.
