Can any of you computer whiz's tell me why all of a sudden my ebay emails have these little icons rather than the usual photos of listings? This started happening a month ago.

Outlook blocks images by default. You can unblock them from trusted senders. Hope this is the answer.

My Comcast email client also does not display in-line images, but it provides the option to see them.
I'll guess they are trying to cut down on bandwidth (data transfer).

I use Gmail and am always asked whether I want to "show images" and whether to "always show images from this sender".
