Can anyone recommend a company that makes jigsaw puzzles from photos. Also if you’ve had either a good or bad experience it would be helpful. I was thinking in terms of a 500 piece puzzle.
Thanks Bud

Shutterfly offers jigsaws in a variety of shapes and sizes. Piece count can be from 30 to 1,014. I had them make a puzzle of a family photo collage and gave it as a holiday present to everyone. The cardboard/paper was a little thin but the quality was good and when put together, it looks great.

I have used Shutterfly for this. I would say quality is just average

If you want to go high end and exceptional quality, try Stave Puzzles. Look under Corporate and Custom. $$$$

I have their tricky Lunacy puzzle, not sure it's in production. 30+ pieces, $250 bought 25 years ago as an anniversary present. Did NOT tell my wife about the cost so we are still married.

I've used Amazon several times for 16X20 jigsaw puzzels of my grandchildren, very satisfied with the quality and the price.

I used a company called puzzleyou.com for several puzzles over a period of time. It's been a while but my memory is that they were pretty good. I suggest you not use a photograph with blank sky, a lot of sandy beach, or a lot of lawn because when you try to put the puzzle together all those identical pieces will drive you crazy. Of course, if it's a puzzle for someone you don't like...

Portrait Puzzles (out of Wisconsin as I recall) did a very nice job for me.

This is a bit off the subject, but when I was 8 years old I had a brownie camera. I took photos, I processed in my fathers darkroom, glued the photo onto a piece of plywood and used a jigsaw to make a puzzle. Didn't have too many pieces because of my limited ability with the jigsaw. Today I still do at least one 440 piece jigsaw on my computer.

Apparently, it's still sold and now costs $695!

I used a company out of the United Kingdom called Wentworth. Because of the intended recipient, it needed to be wooden. I was very pleased with the quality and the turnaround. Not cheap because it was wooden.
