How can you tell the difference?

On this day there were a lot of them. It was a good day to watch them

I would expect a mixed flock this time of year where you are. Subtle differences between Least and Western Sandpipers. Easiest way, but not always diagnostic, Least have yellow/green legs and Western have black legs

Thank you. You always said that it was a mixed group, but now I think that I know how to tell the difference. But it is very hard to see the difference.
