Anhinga with nesting material, Wakodahatchee Wetlands. Note the lore color change, the area between a bird's eye and bill on both sides of its head. This area changes during mating season, on most birds, the color changes to a bright color. This color does not last long and it is believed to help the bird attract a mate.
