Photo shop express question

Does PSE allow you to input a text or sign your name to any pic modification?
What about saving the mods you make back to your original computer file
I think it saves and stores everything into their file system but I may be wrong
Help me out as I’m looking for something not too complicated but yet allows me to do the things above plus modifications
Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to do.

"PSE" usually means Photoshop Elements and it will let you put in titles or other "signature" like graphics. Photoshop Express is primarily a phone app but has a version for Windows. In the phone app, you can add text but not on the Windows version.

I'm not sure what you mean by "their file system". Adobe does have cloud apps. One is called Adobe Express which is different that Photoshop Express. (Adobe's marketing people are terrible at coming up with names for their products.)

Adobe Express is a free web/cloud app and does lots of "graphic arts" stuff. There is an "enhanced" for a small price version that does even more. It will put text, signatures or whatever in your photos and you can keep the files on your computer if you want.

BSprague…. In addition to pp all I’m trying to do is add my signature(name) and year somewhere in the picture to identify that I took the pic and did the post process. (Much like the old Picasa program used to allow)
Also I want to save the original and amended version on my computer and not in a cloud somewhere
Nothing more…. Pp, add signature and save.

If in fact, you are asking about Photoshop Elements, it is very capable of inserting text and graphics in an image file. You would then "save it as" a new file on your computer leaving the original untouched.

PS Elements has a 30-day free trial:
https://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements/free-trial.html

Their "file sytem" is an organizer, where you can view thumbnails of your pics and sort by key words you've assigned. But you don't have to use that system.

You can manage, organize and save your files in folders in any manner you wish - on your computer or external drive.

I have PSE 18,21, and 23, and used Picasa originally. I do all of the above. The Organizers are wonderful and I save psd's and jpg''s in my computer and backup on flash drives, no cloud . And Tech is available and helpful when needed.

Use google for demonstrations of how to add text / pictures of your signature / similar 'watermarks' to your images in PSE. Easily done via multiple methods, find the option that best fits your needs and level of effort.

Yes you can insert text or freehand draw a signature. I use photoshop express on an IPhone so it saves it to my iCloud Photos which is also saved on my computer. So they are connected.
