Clark vs Sierra Vista (freshman)

Hi there sports fans.
I tried something different on my focusing spots. Instead of my usual continuous 9 squares in order not to miss a shot due to focus miss I went to ac single and found that I could follow the guys without missing to many opportunities for focus. The Nikon D4 was up to the task, focus was spot on in many cases and of course missed some. The 9 square would focus on the closest subject and maybe not on the primary subject.
I guess what I am saying is try different settings on your cameras, you never know what will work better or not.

This freshman game was a good one.
Nikon D4 paired with 70-200 2.8 - 300mm 2.8 for a few down court shots & 24-70 2.8 on some.

Enjoyed the photos. The second one reminds me of myself at that age. Sure hope he is a better player than I was! Of course, the bar is set pretty low. LOL.

I bet you were great. Basketball was not my strong sport. Football and baseball I excelled at.

You know, I did pretty well at first because I had an early growth spurt. But then everyone else had theirs and I was done for! Ball handling was not a strength. But my opponents sure loved it! LOL!

Nothing to lose except a few frames. I was surprised that I could hold a single focus steady enough.
