The Mexican Duck is a subspecies of the Mallard. The male Mexican Duck looks a lot like a female Mallard. Yesterday this group refused to cooperate and I really had to reach out to get the shot. A D7200 crop frame camera with a Nikkor 200-500 gave me a 750 35mm equivalent and produced the first image.

I cropped the image to 1000x1000 pixels and opened it in Topaz Gigapixel and increased the size to 2000x2000 and returned it to Photoshop. Minimal processing in ACR produced an image of good quality enabling a positive identification as a Mexican Duck not a female Mallard and of quality to post on UHH and Flickr.
