I have seen very few complaints. But i am not sure why I would want to other than support will end sometime in the future. Do adobe products work better in Windows 11?

My wife upgraded her laptop from 10 to 11 with absolutely no problem.
We now have three systems running 11 with no problems.

Sorry, can't answer the Adobe question. I just use Elements and don't pay attention to how well it works.

Another concern is whether things that do work under Windows 10 will NOT work under 11. Or won't work the same.

When I upgraded a Mac OS last year I lost the ability to scan to the Mac from the control pad on my 10 year old HP multifunction printer - the driver in the new OS didn't include that functionality. (And neither did a new HP multifunction, which I bought and installed hoping to get that capability back.) When I called HP to inquire about an update to their driver for my old machine they said their printers had a design life of about 5 years, that if mine was still working after 10 I should be thankful, and hung up. (I CAN scan to the Mac using an HP app on the computer, but it's VERY inconvenient when the computer keyboard is in a different room from the printer/scanner. Especially when trying to scan multiple individual pages into a single PDF, which under the old driver just required a tap on the control pad on the scanner after putting a new page on the scanner glass.)

I can still scan directly from the scanner to a Windows box under Win 10, but one thing that keeps me from updating to Win 11 is a fear that I'll lose that direct scanning capability if I do.

Adobe PS works the same. I can't use one of the USB to RS-232 adapter. The driver isn't compatible with Win 11. Just get a newer unit. Not a serious problem. I don't see any performance different between Win10 and Win11.

Do you value your sanity? Stay with 10 or upgrade by buying a new computer with 11 installed. Of course, then you have to re-install all your software, and argue with vendors about why you "can't" do it.

After my upgrade to 11 it takes almost forever for Edge to load completely. Also now my default Canon printer sometimes isn't recognized. If I run a troubleshooter in Control Panel it starts to work- for today.

First make sure that there are Windows 11 drivers for your printers and other peripherals. There was no Windows 10 driver for one of my printers when I upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10, making that printer unusable.

Yup.

I had to upgrade a couple of software packages because the old ones that ran under Win 7 would not run under Win 11. Still, I'd rather have Win 11.
But 10 to 11 is not as large a jump as 7 to 11.

I have a bunch of software that run under WinXP but not under Win7 and up. So I keep a computer to run XP.

I think the downside is that it's different, but not better. You'll have to learn new procedures, but there will be little if any reward.

I agree with you there. There are some differences and I have to get used to but they are not better nor worse. I think Intel paid Microsoft to release Windows 11 and offer free upgrade that forces people to buy new computers. A lot of computers running Windows 10 quite well won't run Windows 11.

I much prefer having the Taskbar on the right side of the screen, Win 11 doesn't allow this. Having it on the bottom means I continually have it popping up when I try to hit various scroll bars. Really dumb move by MS to not allow flexible placement of the Taskbar. It also uses up valuable real estate at the bottom of the screen!

The Start screen is also a disaster in Win 11. I installed START11 to get the Win 10 Start screen back.

On my desktop, my screen is in portrait orientation so I have much more room top to bottom than left to right.
