These are emergent blossoms of a Firecracker plant which I managed to keep alive through our recent freeze event in Texas. This plant is one of my favorite hummingbird attractors thus I strive to keep it alive through the winter. Image was taken yesterday in a light drizzle which provided beautiful reflective raindrops. The burgundy-colored stem inspired the title for the shot.
