I am looking for this lens to experiment with my Nikon ZF. If anyone has one available, please pm me.
Thanks
Dave
Thanks Longshadow. I have been looking around. It appears that most of the lens are the D version whereas I would like to find the legacy or total manual. I was simply asking around for a used one. I’ve seen some “new” ones on ebay but they seem to be from Japan. Anyone think a purchase from Japan via ebay would be safe?

There are many places that have free manuals available.
The problem is matching to an explicit lens..... Sometimes lots of research is involved.
Granted, if someone here has the manual you desire, it would be much more expedient.

I believe the OP is looking for a manual focus version of the lens, not the owner's manual.
OP, please set me straight if I'm wrong

Details......
Could be....
From the title, "Looking for Nikkor F 20mm f2.8 manual", I took as looking for the manual.
A more definitive/appropriate title would be "Looking for Nikkor F 20mm f2.8 manual
lens" if that is the case.
Oh well.
You are correct. I am looking for the lens. When I posted the inquiry, the subject line truncated the number of spaces giving the impression that I was looking for the manual instead of the “manual lens”. Sorry about that.

I've bought several times from Japan through eBay and never had a problem.

What are you trying to find out? Nothing about an ancient film-era lens user's manual will speak to how to be successful using that lens adapted to a mirrorless digital camera in 2024.

Try to keep up. The OP is looking for a manual focus lens not the owner’s manual

In the For-Sale Section, you -- the OP -- can edit both the post title / subject, as well as the post content. So, the Q&A will continue until you utilize these available tools.

Safer than ebay from USA. Fact, not attitude. Ask around.

Always recommended but not always actually important. This instance is a perfect example of "not important at all". The message in this instance (two meanings of "manual") applies globally. IOW off-topic useless details should never disrupt posts in the Classified section.
Now back on topic: Would the OP pleeeeeaze state what is special (to him) about a 20/2.8 Ai so that if someone knows of an equivalent but alternate lens they could suggest that as something of an alternative solution.
Acoarst, if the OP is heavily invested in the Characteristic Rendering of a particular lens then so-called alternatives are off the table. But if its just a matter of specs and IQ then clearly other choices do exist. I use several lenses in the 17 to 21mm band but Ive seen no clue from the OP about whether I should even mention any of them.
